FROM THE EDITOR

Happy New Year!

Welcome to the New Year's special issue of
Stage Time. We are pleased to
present a tribute cover story honoring the late comedy legend, Richard Pryor,
which includes recent news, commentary and inspirational stories from
comedians who met the comic genius.

In this issue, you will find the latest news on Dave Chappelle, Barry Crimmins,
Wanda Sykes, Adam Sandler, Kathy Griffin, Lamont Ferguson and The Arab
Comedy Festival.  Also in the news section, six comedians from New York and
Philadelphia sent us their top five comedy goals for the year and were
selected to be profiled in upcoming issues of
STM.

Be sure to check out the reviews on George Carlin's HBO special,
Life is Worth
Losing
by Carolyn Castiglia, Sarah Silverman's critically-acclaimed movie, Jesus
is Magic
by Andrew David and  The New York Comedy Festival by Joh Briley.

Please let us know what think and which stories you would like to see in
Stage Time. Thank you for your feedback on the premiere issue. We will post
your comments in the next issue.

                                                              Yours truly,

STM: "Quality and Passion"

1. Grow a bigger heart and even bigger balls.
2. Produce an outstanding magazine for comics.
3. Take more risks.
4. Hire a web designer. (This should probably rank higher on the list.)
5. Produce at least three shows.
